Rabat – The Moroccan Consumer Day event has returned this year after a mandatory two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Moroccan Consumer Day is the first annual event dedicated to Moroccan consumers. The event aims to raise Moroccans’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
The forced two-year cancellation was an opportunity for organizers to rethink the positioning of the event, to better reflect consumers’ concerns, the evolution of their purchase and consumption habits, as well as provide support for the promotion of Moroccan brands.
This year’s edition of the event became Moroccan Consumer Days, adding an “s” to its name, instead of previous iterations which were named Morocco Consumer Day.
The event has now been spread over several days throughout the year, highlighting three main points divided into three distinct events.
Consumer Day, the first event, starts in March in accordance with World Consumers Rights Day.
It will be held this year under the theme: “Implementing the new development model: Where does the government stand in protection of consumer purchasing power?”
The second event, “Made in Morocco Day” is dedicated to the promotion of Moroccan brands. It will take place in May 2022 under the theme: “Morocco now: what place for national brands? What role for the Moroccan consumer?”
The third and last event will be devoted to the study of the latest trends in consumption, marketing, and communication under the theme “Consumer Trends Annual Meeting”.
The Moroccan Consumer Days event aims to become the unrivaled annual meeting place for marketers and communicators from Morocco and abroad.
Such events are important for Moroccan consumers as they will allow them to obtain accurate information about the products and services they purchase and protect them from exploitative and unfair trade practices.
