King Mohammed VI hosted the United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for an Iftar meal in his royal residence in Sale on Saturday.

Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid were also among the attendees.

Besides the UAE Crown Prince, other renowned Emirati officials attended the fest such as Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s representative in the al Dahfrah region; Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of the Presidential Affairs.

King Mohammed VI’s invitation comes to further cement the brotherly relations and mutual respect that has always marked the monarch’s relations with the UAE Crown Prince.

Last week, the UAE Crown Prince landed in Morocco on an unofficial visit, where he met with US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken.

In this meeting, the two officials discussed ranging issues namely ways to deepen and broaden cooperation between the two countries, especially amid the current turbulent global context.

Morocco and the UAE are two countries with a long-established history of cooperation and partnership across several sectors

In March, Morocco chose UAE as the guest of honor at the 15th Conference of Energy. The event tackled the rising energy demand amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its economic impact at the national, regional, and international levels.

Beyond economic cooperation, the Gulf country has always shown strong support for Morocco’s Autonomy Plan as the best route toward a sustainable solution to the Western Sahara dispute.

On November 4, 2020, the UAE provided the strongest indication of its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity by opening a general consulate in Laayoune.
