Rabat – At least 13 people have been injured during an attack at a Brooklyn Subway station on Tuesday, during the morning rush hour.
The New York Post said that the attack took place at 8:30 a.m. local time at 36th Street Station in Sunset Park.
Police said they discovered several undetonated devices in the station.
Graphic photos show blood everywhere on the ground and smoke in the subway station.
The New York police department is investigating the incident.
Bloomberg said police are searching for a male 5 feet, 8 inches tall with an “orange construction vest and a gas mask.”
News channel CNBC said the man was spotted throwing a device before opening fire.
NBC New York said that authorities put two schools on lockdown. Most stores near the subway station were evacuated.
Emergency operations are underway to help the victims, who are in a stable condition, according to reports.
A statement from White House press secretary Jen Psaki said President Biden “has been briefed on the latest developments regarding the New York Subway shooting.”
