Rabat – Air Arabia Maroc will launch a new route connecting Nador in the Oriental region, and Spain’s capital Madrid.
The flight, which will open on June 23, will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
Air Arabia Maroc Air Arabia Maroc will serve the destination with its Airbus A320s aircraft, a communique from the airline announced on Tuesday.
Air Arabia Maroc’s flight from Nador will take off on Thursdays at 10:55 a.m. (local time) to arrive in Madrid at 1:25 p.m.
On Sundays, departures from Nador will take place at 2:25 p.m., with a landing time scheduled for 4:55 p.m.
The airline will depart Madrid on Thursdays at 2:15 p.m. local time and will arrive in Nador at 2:35 p.m.
On Sundays, the Air Arabia flight will depart Madrid at 5:45 p.m. and will arrive in Nador at 6:05 p.m.
The airline said customers are able to book their flight on its website or by calling its call center. Passengers can also book their flights through authorized travel agencies.
Morocco reopened its airspace in February after months of travel suspension due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Since the reopening of airspace, many companies resumed flights to and from Morocco, including Air Arabia, Royal Air Maroc, Air France, Transavia, and Ryanair, among others.
The Air Arabia new flight could be a good news among Moroccans residing in Spain.
The opening of flights in June will also coincide with the 2022 Marhaba operation, which facilitates the transit of Moroccans seeking to return home for the summer holiday.
Data from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics (INE) said in December 2021 that over 767,180 Moroccans were legally established in Spain by July 2021.
The data showed that Moroccans are maintaining their position as the most populous foreign community in Spain.
