Rabat – A French far right activist killed a 27-year old man of Moroccan and Spanish origins on the night of Friday May 13, in Paris.
French news outlet 20 minutes reported yesterday that the Moroccan-Spanish victim who died on the spot after being shot with a bullet in the head, lived in the Clos-Miroir district of Poissy, in the Yvelines.
The incident took place on Boulevard de Clichy, a famous street in Paris, when a fight broke out at around 3 a.m. between four people. The suspect, 50-year old Martial Lanoir, parked his vehicle and asked the young people involved in the brawl to stop.
The 27 years old victim allegedly told Lanoir to “get out of here,” the suspect returned to his car, took his Colt 45 gun out and shot him in the head, according to reports.
The suspect fled the scene and was later stopped by police a few streets away, near his vehicle, around 3:50 a.m. He was already known to police and is registered as a wanted person.
On Monday, he was taken custody for “murder.” The French news outlet stressed that Lanoir is “known to the police for his conspiracy theories and anti-Semitism.”
In September 2020, Lanoir sparked outrage on the set of the French show “Balance Ton Post” on C8 channel and when he started spreading false information related to a conspiracy theory on the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his older videos posted online and entitled “Save France” or “Immigration not wanted by the French,” he says that he supports “the party of [Alain] Soral and Dieudonné M’bala M’bala,” who were both convicted for anti-Semitic remarks, hate speech, and advocating terrorism.
