Rabat – King Mohammed VI addressed a message of congratulations to King Salman Ibn Abdelaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on the success of his latest medical procedure.

In the message, the King of Morocco said that he learned with “great relief the good and satisfactory results of the medical examinations” that King Salman recently underwent.

King Mohammed VI wished King Salman good health and long life to “continue to guide the brotherly Saudi people towards greater progress and prosperity.”

Saudi Arabia’s King was admitted to a hospital in the Red Sea of Jeddah to undergo medical tests last week, Saudi news agency SPA reported without providing details about the King’s condition.

Morocco and Saudi Arabia share good diplomatic relations characterized by a regular exchange of official visits and reciprocity.

Saudi Arabia is among the countries that continue to renew support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over Western Sahara.

As part of their historical bilateral cooperation, Morocco and Saudi Arabia signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding to intensify renewable energy cooperation.

Morocco’s minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Leila Benali and Saudi-Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman signed the agreement on the peaceful use of atomic energy.

The agreement is in line with Morocco’s Green Energy 2017 approach, seeking a transition toward a green economy by 2030, and it entails the establishment of a nuclear fuel cycle, waste management, as well as engineering and marketing innovation techniques for new generations of nuclear plants.
