Rabat – Mohammedia School of Engineering (EMI), one of Morocco’s most prestigious engineering schools, is set to host its business fair titled the “EMI-Business Forum.”
Starting on May 11, the three-day event will revolve around the theme “Safeguarding Entrepreneurial Initiatives: A Must to Implement Morocco’s New Development Model (NDM).”
Having the NDM as a focal point, the event hopes to contribute to the nationwide efforts to implement a list of socio-economic reforms that would tackle a number of socio-economic challenges facing the country.
EMI-Business Forum aims to serve as a networking opportunity for upcoming graduates, a press release indicates.
This year’s event will mark the 28th annual EMI-Business Forum, with a long list of attendees that features figures from Morocco’s business landscape as well as government officials, including ministers.
Over 100 companies have signed up for the event, with a list of 13,000 participants.
The event features multiple activities in a hybrid form, with workshops taking place both in-person and remotely.
EMI-Business Forum will open its doors to Moroccan students to meet with companies from all sectors including consultancies, banks, insurance, and the construction industry.
Foreign grad schools will also attend the forum to present students with study-abroad opportunities.
Launched in 1994, the event sets the stage for experts and policymakers to deliberate on issues pertinent to Morocco’s business landscape.
Speaking on the backdrop of the event, EMI-Business Forum’s Organizing Committee President Mabout Amine, told Morocco World News that the event aims to link Moroccan graduates and job seekers with recruiters.
“EMI-Business Forum opens its doors for internship and job seekers looking for networking opportunities with regional and world-class companies,” Mabout said.
In addition to offering a rich networking sphere, the event offers participants the chance “to attend panels and conferences that will be enriching and highly instructive,” he added.
