Fez – Italian giants AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech on a loan deal, according to the news website football.London.
Despite winning the just concluded Serie A, the Italian league, AC Milan is looking to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season. The club’s leadership sees Ziyech as a suitable option in the transfer market, especially given the Chelsea player’s willingness to embark on a new journey with another club.
According to the British news website, the Rossoneri, as the Italian club is popularly known, is reported to have offered 5 million to convince Chelsea to let the player go on a loan move. In addition, the Italian club brought to the table another 20 million as a buy option if everything goes well during Ziyech’s loan move to the Serie A.
In 2020, Chelsea signed the Moroccan winger on a five-year deal after a standout campaign with Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam.

While the player was not exactly at his best during his first season with Chelsea, he played an important role in the Blues’ campaign to win the European Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
But in the past season, Ziyech struggled to become part of the club’s starting squad. The Moroccan forward only scored eight goals and delivered six assists in 44 appearances in all competitions in the 2021-2022 season.
Many observers and fans have positively reacted to Ziyech’s potential departure from Chelsea, thinking that a loan move to the Italian Serie A would help the player regain his confidence and get back to his Ajax form.
