Rabat – Cultivora, the organizers of the upcoming “Into the Wild” festival in Dakhla, have released the first artists for their first “boutique festival.” Cultivora made its name in Marrakech with its famous Oasis Festival, but is now hosting its first event in the coastal town of Dakhla, where several Moroccan and international artists are set to perform.

While the full line-up for the high-end festival has not been released, the festival’s organizers have confirmed the appearance of German DJs Ame and Tama Sumo, South Africa’s Lakuti, Bulgarian DJ KiNK, British DJ Jyoty, Italy’s Mind Against and Morocco’s “electronic music ambassador” Amine K.

According to the festival’s organizers, the Dakhla-based event is set to be a “new boutique festival concept that invites you to discover Morocco’s most exciting travel destinations through the lens of music, gastronomy and wellbeing.”

Besides music, the luxurious festival features Moroccan cuisine, special cocktails, and Dakhla’s famous oysters. Organized at the Dakhla Club resort,  the festival promises “stunning views across the turquoise lagoon and ochre desert landscape,” as well as “chic and understated beach bungalows,” said the organizers.

The festival takes advantage of Dakhla’s natural splendor and vibrant local culture as it markets its “wellbeing” program that offers outdoor yoga as well as kitesurfing and desert trips.

While the festival was downscaled to account for possible public health restrictions, Morocco’s encouraging COVID-19 numbers should mean festival-goers from around the world can freely attend the event.

How popular the festival will be among local youth and Moroccan EDM fans remains to be seen, as ticket prices start from MAD 1950 ($190), with the first round of slightly cheaper $170 (MAD 1750) tickets already sold out.
