Rabat – Brazil’s U-17 women’s football team defeated Morocco 1-0 on Tuesday as part of the 2022 FIFA-17 World Cup.

Brazil’s Ingrid Johnsson scored the winning goal in the fifth minute during the first half.

In addition to Brazil, the Moroccan football team will play against India at the Kalinga stadium on October 14.

The Atlas Lionesses qualified for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in June after beating Ghana in Rabat.

The win secured Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses their first World Cup qualification.

In addition to the U-17 team Morocco’s professional women’s national football team also secured their place in the Women’s World Cup 2023.

The Atlas Lionesses qualified for the World Cup for the first time following their win against Botswana during the quarter-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco in July.

The World Cup will take place in Australia and New Zealand next year.
