Rabat – UX Centers, a Moroccan outsourcing company specializing in customer relations, has announced plans to launch a new service named, “Mousahamti” (My contribution in Arabic) to allow Moroccan informal workers to register in the social protection system.
With 23 million Moroccans expected to enter the social scheme by the end of 2022, UX Centers is set to provide customer support for the national project.
According to UX Centers’ website, Mousahamti seeks to “reduce budgetary expenses and simplify the business, financial, and social processes of companies.”
Speaking at the Ambition Africa Forum in Paris, the founder and CEO of UX Centers Abid Badil stated that the upcoming service follows King Mohammed VI’s initiative to provide social security to all citizens.
UX Centers mostly targets micro-entrepreneurs and very small businesses (VSBs) that are “underserved,” Badil stressed, adding that his company plans to “benefit society at large.”

In Morocco, 77% of the workforce operated in the informal market which represents a major challenge facing the country’s efforts to give its workers a more official and stable status.
In July 2020, King Mohammed VI launched the nationwide reform of the social security system to provide all citizens with health coverage.
“All Moroccans should have access to social security within the coming five years,” the monarch said in a speech.
A year later, the Moroccan government pledged to extend medical coverage to three million citizens. The project notably benefited farmers, self-employed workers, and artisan workers.
To expand the scope of the project, Morocco borrowed MAD 932 million ($85 million) from the African Development Bank (AfDB) in July.
The project aims to expand social benefits to 11 million self-employed workers and seven million children and young people.
