Rabat- Morocco’s Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurated the International Exhibition and Museum of the Biography of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization at the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Rabat on November 17.
Highlighting the international exhibition’s importance, Director General of ICESCO Salim Mohamed Al-Malik stressed that the organization of this event “testifies to the strong age-old ties between the brotherly Kingdoms of Morocco and of Saudi Arabia.”
The exhibition hosts the Islamic Solidarity hall, the hall of King Hassan II, while the hall of ICESCO headquarters hosts Arabic calligraphy and the Jewels of Islam. Miniatures of Mecca and Medina were also on display at the museum.
Additionally, a virtual reality room features a projection on interactive screens of Al Houjra al-Nabawiyya Asharifa (the Prophet’s room).
Prince Moulay El Hassan was born in Rabat on May 8, 2003, to King Mohammed VI and his wife, Princess Lalla Salma.
The Prince was named after his grandfather, late King Hassan II. The Moroccan Prince has been taking up the duties of representing Morocco and its royal family at international events.
On June 28, 2019, the Crown Prince represented King Mohammed VI at the operations launch ceremony of the new port Tanger Med II, marking Tanger-Med Port Complex as a leading port and vital asset to the Mediterranean.
On August 22 of that year, the Crown Prince received children participating in the 12th edition of Al Quds summer camps at the Palais des Hotes in Rabat, organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency.
On September 30, 2019, in Paris, he attended the funeral of the late French President Jacques Chirac, which took place at the Saint-Sulpice church.
