Rabat – Young Moroccan striker Ilyes Housni signed this week his first professional contract with the French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
In a statement announcing the news, PSG noted that the young player’s contract will expire in the summer of 2026.
Housni, who plays mainly as a striker, has previously represented France in the U-17 national team on two occasions and has been training with the senior PSG squad for the past weeks.
Prior to joining PSG’s youth team in 2019, the young footballer trained with a number of French clubs including FC Paris and Joanne Ville.
Reports suggest that Housni is expected to be gradually integrated into the official matches of the senior team, with the aim of gaining experience before being relied upon later on in the course of his contract.
Housni first came to prominence with PSG’s U-19 team on October 1, 2022, after scoring a goal in the Championnat National U19.
Four days later, he scored the only goal of a 1–0 in the UEFA Youth League, against a team that included most of the players that won the previous edition of the tournament.
This month, he scored his first two goals with Paris Saint-Germain’s senior team in a 3–1 friendly match over Quevilly-Rouen at the Camp des Loges.
