Rabat – Oscar-winning Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey is due in court in London on December 16 to face seven new sex offense charges.
Last month, prosecutors brought more charges against the US star.
Spacey has always denied the claims that he sexually abused children. The British police say that his on trial for seven sexual offenses.
A court official told French news outlet AFP that the latest accusations will be heard at Westminster Magistrates Court in central London.
Among the new charges, there are three involving indecent assault, another three of sexual assault, and one including making someone carry out a sexual act without permission.
In a statement to CNN news outlet, prosecutors said that all of the crimes were linked to one male victim and happened between 2001 and 2004.
The British Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced in a statement that it has authorized the additional charges “for multiple sexual assaults against one man between 2001 and 2004.”
English law prohibits releasing the identify of the claimed victims. Further information cannot be shared before the trial due to reporting constraints.
In July, 63 year-old Spacey, pleaded not guilty to five similar charges committed against three men in London and Gloucestershire, and western England, between 2005 and 2013.
Spacey has won two academy awards for his roles in The Usual Suspects and American Beauty, and was artistic director of London’s iconic Old Vic theater from 2003 to 2015.
This is not the first time Spacey has faced accusations of this nature. Last month the US court dismissed charges made against the actor. The previous charges accused him of sexually assaulting actor Anthony Rapp, once again making international headlines.
