Rabat – FIFA has named Achraf Hakimi as the man of the match following Morocco’s victory against Canada.
Hakimi showed an amazing performance against Canada and contributed to the scoring of Morocco’s second goal shot by Youssef En-Nesyri.
En-Nesyri scored Morocco’s second goal in the 23rd minute, following a spectacular assist from Hakimi, who is one of the fastest football players across the world.
With outstanding top-flight experience in Spain, Italy, and France, Hakimi’s tactics and good team spirit have shown themselves to be a source of pride for his fans and mother, who was attending Morocco’s games.
Morocco’s win against Canada helped it reach the knockout phase of the World Cup at the top of its group, which had 2018 runners-up Croatia and third-place holders Belgium.
This qualification is the first time since 1986. Moroccans across the world are celebrating the Atlas Lions, thanking them for the joy that was missed for more than three decades.
