Rabat – Morocco’s weather office issued a memo on Saturday warning citizens of a likely cold snap across several regions from Monday to Wednesday.
Temperatures are expected to drop to between -06 and 04 degrees celsius expected from Monday to Wednesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the memo from the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
The list of cities set to see a drop in temperatures includes Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Guercif, Figuig, Taourirt, Jerada, Taza, Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Khenifra, Al Haouz, Tinghir and Midelt, the orange-level alert indicates.
The memo also includes a list of cities set to experience a less severe drop in temperatures ranging between 01 and 10 degrees Celsius. This list features Larache, Tetouan, Ouezzane, Driouch, Berkane, Nador, and Oujda-Angad.
Other cities set to witness a noticeable drop in temperatures between Monday and Wednesday include El Hajeb, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Meknes, Fez, Kenitra, Khemisset, Sidi Slimane, Skhirate-Temara, Sidi Kacem, Rabat, Sale, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga, Settat, Benslimane, Berrechid, Nouaceur, Casablanca, Mediouna, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Rhamna, Errachidia, Ouarzazate, and Taroudant.
