Rabat – Morocco’s women’s national football team defeated their opponents from Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 in a friendly game that took place on Tuesday.

The game was held in Antalya, Turkiye, the match started with an early goal in the 7th minute from Rosella Ayane, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur in England’s Women’s Super League.

Nesryne El Chad, the 19 year-old defender who plays for LOSC Lille in France, scored the game’s second goal in the 39th minute.

The victory came as part of the Atlas Lionesses’ preparations for the Women’s World Cup, which will be held in July in Australia and New Zealand.

It is also the second in a row for the team, after they beat their Slovakian counterparts 3-0 in another friendly on Friday.

Morocco will play in Group H of the World Cup, alongside Germany, Colombia, and South Korea.

The team qualified for the competition for the first time in Morocco’s history after beating Botswana 2-1 in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) quarter-finals.

After the men’s triumph at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, all eyes will be on the women’s team as they seek to produce similarly impressive performances.
