Rabat – Morocco’s National Airports Office (ONDA) has urged travelers heading to and from France between February 6 and 8 to contact their airlines to confirm their booking and check if their flight was affected or could be disrupted by the strike.
French air services are expected to witness huge disruptions starting on Tuesday as the country braces itself for another strike over changes to pensions in France.
In light of the expected nationwide strike, “we invite travelers to and from France to check the status of their flights with their airlines before going to the airport,” said ONDA on Twitter.
Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc canceled its flights scheduled for January 19, 20, and 31 from and to the French capital Paris due to a nationwide strike that affected public services in France.
The public strike notice in France urged all airlines to reduce their flights to the Paris-Orly airport by 20%.

The successive strikes came after the French government announced its plans to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.
Since then, French labor unions, presenting workers from several sectors, organized several strikes and protests, urging the government to evoke its decision. More than 1.2 million people participated in the latest strike, which took place on January 31, Reuters reported.
Besides air services, the ongoing strikes are expected to affect rail services as well, indicated the news agency.
France’s Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne offered on Sunday to relax the proposed pension raise, in a bid to gain support from the conservatives in the parliament.
