Rabat – Moroccan producer RedOne produced the official song for FIFA’s Club World Cup, entitled “Welcome to Morocco,” which was released on Sunday on FIFA’s official channels.
The song features several artists including Asma Lmnawar, Rym, Aminux, Nouaman Belaiachi, Zouhair Bahaoui, and Dizzy DROS.
The music video shows Morocco’s various cultural, historic, and sporting landmarks , with lyrics celebrating the country’s culture of hospitality and love for football.
Nadir Khayat, known better by his stage name RedOne, is a Moroccan music producer who has been FIFA’s Creative Entertainment Executive since December 2021.
He produced “One World,” the official anthem for the 2018 World Cup held in Russia, with artists Adelina and Now United.
In addition to production, RedOne is also a singer and has written songs for some of the world’s biggest stars.
Morocco was awarded the hosting rights for the FIFA Club World Cup shortly before the 2022 World Cup concluded in Qatar, in December last year.
The tournament kicked off on February 1 with a 3-0 victory for Egyptian club Al Ahly against New Zealand’s Auckland City.
The next round of the tournament is the semi-finals, where Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal SC will face Brazil’s Flamengo, while Al Ahly will be up against European champions Real Madrid.
