Rabat – Morocco’s head coach Walid Regragui announced on Monday the squad list for the friendly games that the team is set to play against Brazil and Peru on March 25 and 28 respectively.

The squad’s first-choice goalkeeper remains Yassine Bounou, with Munir El Kajoui, Reda Tagnaouti, and Mehdi Benabid as substitutes.

In defense, the squad includes stars such as Achraf Hakimi, Nayef Aguerd, Ghanem Saiss, and Noussair Mazraoui.

Other names that helped Morocco reach the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup have also made it to the squad, such as Achraf Dari, Jawad El Yamiq, and Yahya Attiat Allah.

In midfield, Sofyan Amrabat, Abdelhamid Sabiri, and Azzedine Ounahi were some of the most notable call-ups, with Benjamin Bouchouari and Bilal El Khannous also joining them.

Lastly, the team’s attack will include Hakim Ziyech, Sofiane Boufal, Zakaria Aboukhlal, and Youssef En-Nesyri.

Additionally, they will be joined by Anass Zaroury, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Walid Cheddira, Ibrahim Salah, and Abderrazak Hamdallah.

The team will play Brazil at Tangier’s Grand Stadium on March 25, before traveling to Madrid to play Peru on March 28 at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium.

The Atlas Lions will be hoping to build on the positive momentum from their 2022 World Cup accomplishments, especially in the upcoming match against Brazil, which Regragui has expressed excitement for.
