Rabat – Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) co-hosted on Tuesday at Kenitra’s Royal Institute of Police a seminar with the tech giant and Facebook’s parent company Meta to introduce the new platform Tifli Moukhtafi (My Missing Child.)

The platform  raises awareness and conducts searches for missing children who have been reported missing under suspicious circumstances.

DGSN has partnered with META to use social networks’ cutting-edge communication tools to find missing children in a manner akin to America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response’s “Amber Alert”.

By strengthening its partnership with META, DGSN aims to enhance the protection of children and to accelerate research and investigations to locate them as soon as possible via technologies and social networks.

Throughout the years, DGSN has been modernizing its services with technical and logistical support to tackle the security challenges facing Morocco.

In 2020, DGSN launched an interactive online platform to communicate violations of the country’s state of emergency measures to the public.

The open platform, covid.dgsn.gov.ma,was part of the DGSN’s efforts to set up interactive tools to establish instant communication with citizens and to involve internet users in national efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.
