Ahead of today’s match against Romania, the team’s head coach Reynald Pedros said that victory in this second game is the team’s main goal.

“We had a difficult first match, made some mistakes, and paid for them. Now, in the second match, we need to win to earn back our supporters’ trust,” Pedros said.

For the Atlas Lionesses, today’s game is an opportunity to showcase their preparedness to compete in the upcoming 2023 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20.

The Atlas Lionesses will undoubtedly want to emulate the Moroccan men’s team’s success and leave their mark on the competition to further consolidate the growing reputation of Moroccan football.
