Rabat – Morocco-based home services marketplace PrestaFreedom recently secured an impressive MAD11 million ($1.1 million) in funding from the Azur Innovation Fund.
Founded in 2020, PrestaFreedom operates as a platform that provides a range of home maintenance services through monthly and weekly subscription plans. The startup boasts a loyal customer base of around one thousand returning clients.
With this latest funding injection, PrestaFreedom has outlined plans to allocate resources toward the enhancement of its logistics and technology infrastructure.
Using the funds, the company also aims to facilitate the growth of its operations and pursue ambitious expansion strategies across several African markets, scheduled to begin next year.
Expressing his satisfaction with the successful funding round, co-founder and CEO Majid Benslimane emphasized the significance of this milestone for the startup.
“We are proud of this opportunity offered to us by our Azur Innovation Fund partners,” Benslimane said in a press release. “This serves as a crucial step in the development of this startup that I launched a few years ago, whose goal is to meet a particular need in the market and whose success today exceeds the expectations.”
In addition to the Azur Innovation Fund investment, PrestaFreedom has successfully conducted several other funding rounds, which have significantly contributed to the acceleration of its go-to-market efforts.
As PrestaFreedom continues to solidify its position in the home services market, the new funds will enable the startup to bolster its technological capabilities, optimize its supply chain, and expand its geographical footprint in line with its ambitious growth plans.
