Rabat – Two acclaimed innovations have earned Morocco two gold medals and other international invention awards at the Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF23), which took place from April 28-30 in the Turkish city.
The School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI) represented Morocco with two of its SmartiLab projects including “Smarty Green Wastewater Treatment” and “Smart Meat test.”
The first project focuses on wastewater management by building a solution based on a green, intelligent, and mobile wastewater treatment station.
Meanwhile, the second project’s goal is to give a simple and quick method for controlling meat quality.
“These awards, which EMSI has now added to its collection, attest to the outstanding quality of projects that it displayed at this key innovation event in Turkiye,” EMSI said in a statement.
The school has presented quality inventions at this event, according to EMSI President Kamal Daissaoui, who also noted that the pavilion of Moroccan innovations has drawn many visitors from Turkiye and other countries.
Daissaoui went on to say that EMSI hopes to contribute to the growth of invention and innovation in Morocco and to keep honorably representing the North African country in prestigious international events.
EMSI has also developed many inventions to strengthen Morocco’s portfolio of intellectual property and improve the ranking of the country in the Global Innovation Ranking, collecting 86 medals and hundreds of awards internationally, the school’s statement said.
The event saw the participation of 50 countries from around the world, over 1,000 inventions, and over two million people.
