Rabat – Moroccan football star Youssef En-Nesyri continues his triumphs in European football with his club Sevilla FC in LaLiga.

On Sunday, the club announced that En-Nesyri was named as April’s Player of the Month in Spain’ top-flight league, LaLiga.

“It’s no surprise who has been named @LaLigaEng Player of the Month! Take a bow, Youssef En-Nesyri,” the club said in a tweet.

En-Nesyri played 29 games with Sevilla so far in the league’s 2022/23 season, where he scored 8 goals.

A key player at the Spanish club, En-Nesyri contributed to several of Sevilla’s triumphs since he joined the club. He was part of the 2019/20 squad that won the Europa League and was previously named LaLiga’s player of the month in January 2021.

The Moroccan star joined Sevilla in January 2020 after the club reached an agreement with his former club CD Leganes.

The Atas Lion had impressed with Leganes, giving them the first hattrick in the team’s history in a match against Real Betis in February 2019.

In addition to Sevilla, En-Neziri is also a key player for Morocco’s national team.

The footballer was a vital squad member with the Atlas Lions at  the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

During the competition, Morocco made a fairytale run, becoming the first African and Arab team to reach the semifinals.

Several clubs have recently shown interest in signing the Atlas Lions, including Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, and Crystal Palace.

Despite the offers, En-Nesyri previously pledged loyalty to his club, saying: “I thank all the clubs that have contacted my agent, but at the moment I want to have my head only in Sevilla.”

“It’s not a money issue, but a sporting issue,” he said in January.

However, converging reports have suggested that the striker is ready to take an offer if it meets his career ambitions.
