Rabat – English professional football club Manchester City, is reportedly eager to secure the services of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) right-back Achraf Hakimi, and is willing to pay a substantial transfer fee, according to Spanish sports outlet Marca.
This potential move comes as Manchester City prepares for a “generational change” in their squad, with the possible departure of Kyle Walker to Bayern Munich.
The Spanish news outlet highlighted that Pep Guardiola – Manchester City’s Spanish manager – aims to enhance and perfect the team and to accomplish this, he has identified Achraf Hakimi as a player who can significantly elevate the squad.
Sports news outlet Mundo Deportivo recently reported that Hakimi is seeking an exit from PSG, where he allegedly feels uncomfortable due to various factors.
One of the factor is “the environment and atmosphere that surrounds the French club,” the Spanish news outlet said, recalling the sexual assault allegations facing the Moroccan footballer.
