Casablanca – Moroccan investment bank Baker Tilly Burj Finance has announced its acquisition of COM’SUP, a communication and advertising school in Casablanca, by the EDVANTIS Higher Education Group.
The acquisition strengthens EDVANTIS’ portfolio which includes the ISGA Schools of engineering and management and ARTCOM’SUP School of Design. The schools have been “placing societal and environmental responsibility at the heart of their commitments,” the group’s website says.
The step comes in the context of the group’s new “IMPACTS 2026” strategic plan, with an investment budget of MAD 80 million ($8 million). The plan was launched around four main axes: hybridization, internationalization, innovation, responsibility, and territorial anchoring.
The group has completed the renovation of its campuses in Casablanca, Rabat, Fez, and Marrakech, launched a new digital roadmap, signed 40 new partnerships and 10 new international academic agreements, and recruited new professors as part of the strategy.
EDVANTIS now seeks to materialize its hybridization strategy by integrating design into engineering and management, aiming to offer its students a unique learning experience that meets the new expectations of the labor market and society.
“We are delighted with the efficiency and speed of our action in the service of the mission and the new group strategy,” EDVANTIS President Tawhid Chtioui said following the ARTCOM’SUP acquisition last year. “With this acquisition, we will strengthen our impact and enrich our expertise.”
“We are also going to implement significant synergies, particularly in terms of development, education, research and innovation, and management of our operations,” a press release quoted him as saying.
Baker Tilly Burj Finance said that it has worked with Azzeddine Lazrak, the founder of COM’SUP, as well as EDVANTIS management to ensure good conditions for the operation.
In 2022, Baker Tilly Burj Finance played a key role in supervising the sale of ARTCOM’SUP, the reference school in the field of design in Morocco, to the ISGA Group, giving birth to the EDVANTIS Higher Education Group.
In a press release announcing the COM’SUP operation, Baker Tilly Burj Khalifa has reaffirmed its “commitment to assist its clients in their long-term development.”
The company stressed that they “invest in the communities where we live and work, in order to make a difference for the future generations.”
COM’SUP has previously launched several initiatives that aim to support human resource development efforts in the fields of communication, audiovisual, multimedia, and cultural tourism.
