Rabat – The Moroccan “High Voltage” team from the Kaizen School in Casablanca excelled last week during the 2023 edition of the First Lego League (FLL) international competition, held at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts in the United States.
The Moroccan team secured a place among the ten best projects, clinching the “Motivate Award.”
The panel of young roboticists participated in various local robotics tournaments throughout the season, where they were successful.
The “High Voltage” team represented Morocco in the 2023 edition of the international competition in Worcester, indicated a press release from Kaizen School.
The International FLL challenge, where 75 teams from around the world compete in different events and categories, ran between June 9-11.
“Once they arrived at the competition venue, the Moroccan team did not have time to prepare. The ‘High Voltage Kaizen’ members immediately defended their project and showcased their ideas and talents, which allowed them to stand out and establish themselves among the ten best teams,” added the press release.
The FLL supports the importance of innovation and creativity through its program, and encourages students to learn new technical and human skills, preparing them to compete at other national and international competitions.
Moroccan talents in robotics have been showing impressive performances lately, as young Moroccan teams claimed six awards for their remarkable runs throughout the fourteenth edition of Arab Robotics Championship held in Qatar between May 6 and 9.
By the end of the competition, the Moroccan teams had secured first places in different categories at the competition.
