Rabat – As part of its global expansion plan, German engineering services company Betrandt has announced the opening of a new site in the Moroccan capital of Rabat on Sunday, representing its inaugural facility in North Africa.
With a primary focus on electrical and electronic systems, product development, and industrialization services, the new facility is poised to become “an important pillar in Bertrandt’s transnational development network,” said the company in a press release.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of government representatives and customers who were keen to explore the company’s work and plans for the Moroccan market.
By expanding its presence to Morocco, Bertrandt aims to position itself as a key partner for local businesses, promising to offer unmatched expertise and competence in emerging megatrends.
Commenting on the opening of the new facility, Member of the Management Board of Bertrandt AG, Michael Lucke, underlined that the company has an abundance of capabilities that today’s business landscape demands from development service providers.
This includes “comprehensive know-how and competence, particularly in the area of megatrends,” Lucke explained, stressing that “Bertrandt has all of this expertise at its disposal”.

In addition, the Ehningen-based company places great importance on proximity to its customers as a development partner, “providing support for them at their international locations and working on projects across different countries,” he added.
Lucke stressed that Bertrandt delivers added value to its customers, ensuring long-term competitiveness.
The statement explained that the Rabat facility will cater to the specific needs of the local market, with a focus on electrical and electronic systems, product development, and industrialization services.
In addition, Bertrandtrevealed plans to expand the Morocco location further to cement its status as a key component of the company’s transnational development network.
In turn, the site offers a variety of advantages for Bertrandt, as Rabat boasts a rich pool of universities, presenting opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing, added the statement.
These institutions “train large numbers of specialists in fields such as mechanics, electrical engineering, and electronics,” it said, anticipating for the Rabat location to employ more than 500 highly qualified individuals.
