Rabat – Chinese technology giant Huawei introduced its “CloudFabric Easy Solution” during the Huawei Network Summit 2023, showcasing significant advancements in hardware and software.
Huawei unveiled the “CloudEngine 16800-X Data Center Switch,” which made its debut in Africa, with the aim of helping customers across industries move towards a diversified computing era, the tech giant said in a press release.
Huawei also presented the updated data center network solution, offering improved capabilities for easy deployment, operations, and maintenance, along with scalability.
Huawei emphasized that this solution is ideal for achieving high convergence of applications and networks, providing “the ultimate experience” for multi-cloud and heterogeneous networks.
As digitization accelerates, more industries are adopting a multi-cloud and diversified computing approach, Huawei argues. The Chinese firm stresses that the demand for diversified computing power is projected to grow rapidly over the next five years, accompanied by a rise in cloud migration among companies across the industry.
In response to these trends, Huawei stated that enterprise customers are urgently looking for ways to integrate diverse computing power and centrally manage multi-cloud, heterogeneous networks.
Upgraded Easy CloudFabric Solution for the Multi-Cloud Era
To address these challenges, the tech company upgraded its CloudFabric Easy Solution to deliver an “unparalleled experience in the multi-cloud, diversified computing era.”
In line with this goal, Huawei introduced the CloudEngine 16800-X, the industry’s first data center switch specifically designed for diversified computing power.
This cutting-edge switch offers three key differentiators: ultra-high convergence, reducing the total cost of operation (TCO) by 36%; an ultra-fast network, enhancing application performance by 20%; and ultra-high performance, supporting seamless network evolution over the next decade with its 800GE ready capabilities.
Additionally, Huawei updated the CloudFabric Easy Solution, providing a comprehensive data center networking solution for enterprise customers. The solution’s key highlights include easy deployment, ease of operation and maintenance, and smooth evolution.
Deployment of Huawei’s CloudFabric Data Center Solution
During the summit, Osama Elsalhy, CEO of Egyptian Medicine Company (EMCO Egypt), shared his experience using Huawei’s CloudFabric Data Center Solution in CapitalMED Medical City.
Elsalhy said, “We deployed Huawei’s CloudFabric Data Center Solution, On the hardware layer, Huawei CloudEngine data center switches create high-performance interconnects; on the management layer, the solution offers full lifecycle automation capabilities and an easy SDN (software-defined networking) experience in the e-Health cloud.”
Huawei contends that the Easy CloudFabric Solution is the preferred choice for customers due to its technical innovations. Currently, the solution is widely adopted in various industries such as finance, public services, manufacturing, and education.
Looking ahead, Huawei seeks to collaborate with industry partners to strengthen the development of the autonomous driving network evaluation system.
The company aims to guide network upgrades toward automation and intelligence as well as facilitate intergenerational network evolution. These efforts are driven by the desire to accelerate enterprise digital transformation and enable customers to achieve business success.
