Rabat – Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi continues to be ranked among Africa’s most valuable footballer players, with the latest ranking placing the Moroccan right-back in the top three of the continent’s most valued players on the transfer market.

Data compiled by the website Transfer Markt attributed a market value of €65 million to Hakimi, ranking the talented Moroccan right-back in third place in Africa, behind Nigerian center-Forward Victor Osimhen (valued at €120 million) and Egyptian right-winger Mohamed Salah (valued at €65 million).

While Hakmi has been making significant strides in his career, the 24-year player appears to have garnered more international recognition following his stellar performances with Morocco’s Atlas Lions at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Earlier this month, the young footballer was voted the best right-wing back in the world according to a poll conducted by American sports news outlet ESPN.

The poll, which gathers votes from football experts and reports, ranked Hakimi above esteemed players such as Kieran Trippier from Newcastle and Kyle Walker from Manchester City.

Hakimi’s outstanding speed and technical versatility on the field have made him a highly regarded player. He played a crucial role in Morocco’s impressive World Cup journey, notably scoring the decisive penalty against Spain in the round of 16.

In the 2021-2022 season, Hakimi added more success to his resume by winning France’s Ligue 1 and the Trophée des Champions with his current club, PSG.

The versatile Moroccan player’s achievements have earned him widespread recognition and acclaim, with his latest inclusion in the IFFHS Men’s World Team of 2022 further solidifying his exceptional talent and valuable contributions to the sport.
