Rabat – Predator Oil & Gas Holdings has announced the successful completion of drilling and logging operations for the MOU-4 well, located within the Guercif Petroleum Agreement onshore Morocco.
The preliminary drilling results reveal significant findings in various intervals, paving the way for further analysis and potential testing programs, according to a statement from the company reported by Oil Africa review.
The first zone of interest, known as the M1 Sand interval, was encountered at a depth of 540 to 589 meters True Vertical Depth (TVD) and Measured Depth (MD), with 26.5 meters of sand identified.
The Moulouya Fan, a prominent feature, was found as expected in the interval from 779.5-809.8 meters TVD MD.
The presence of the Moulouya Fan in the MOU-4 well has expanded the overall area of the feature beyond the previously mapped limit, demonstrating the significance of the discovery.
Another noteworthy finding is the Lower Fan, which developed 13 meters of gross sands from 860.5-879.5 meters TVD MD, justifying further analysis.
Furthermore, the results of analysis and reservoir characterization for the MOU-3 well have indicated the likelihood of over 40 meters of gas sands, which will be the primary focus of an upcoming testing program.
With the completion of drilling and logging operations for MOU-4, Predator Oil & Gas Holdings is now preparing for an extensive testing program.
Details of the program will be announced in the following weeks, offering valuable insights into potential gas flow rates and volumes associated with the existing inventory of wells.
Paul Griffiths, the executive chairman of Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Plc, expressed his satisfaction with the MOU-4 results, particularly noting the confirmation of the Moulouya Fan’s presence beyond previous mapping.
He emphasized the importance of the upcoming analysis results for the M1 Sand interval.
