Rabat – Marrakech topped Savoo’s list for the top 10 best-value all-inclusive destinations for 2023, with an all-inclusive cost of $1,325.

Savoo, a UK-based voucher and money saving website, analyzed the costs and ratings  of all-inclusive holidays per person across more than 40 popular destinations to determine the top destinations for budget-minded travelers.

Marrakech ranked in first place, with 30 all-inclusive hotels and average reviews of all-inclusive holidays sitting at 86 out of 100.

The price of a holiday to the city for a family also ranked as the fifth lowest on the list.

Turkey’s Kusadasi ranked in second place with 31 hotels, an average review score of 84, and an all-inclusive cost of $1,260. Alanya, also in Turkey, ranked third with 116 hotels and an average score of 81.

Benidrom in Spain and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

Turkey was the clear winner in terms of price, with the three cheapest destinations all being Turkish cities, namely Istanbul, Alanya, and Kusadasi.

Marrakech has experienced a considerable rise in the number of visitors in 2023, as Morocco continues to promote its tourism sector and recover its performance as it exits the COVID-19 pandemic.

The red city witnessed a 63% increase in tourist visits in May, compared to the same period in 2019, according to official data.

The rise was helped by the recovery of national and international tourism as the social and economic effects of COVID-19 start to subside, as well as the historic performance by Morocco’s national team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In May, travel booking website Marrakech Best Of warned travelers that the city was fully booked, advising them to book their hotel and restaurant reservations weeks in advance.
