Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN) has announced a new heatwave, with temperatures ranging between 37 and 48 Celsius degrees set to hit many provinces across Morocco.

Rabat – Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN) has announced a new heatwave, with temperatures ranging between 37 and 48 Celsius degrees set to hit many provinces across Morocco.

The alert includes a red notice for several provinces, which will be affected with temperatures ranging between 44 and 48 degrees on Monday and Tuesday.

The provinces include Ouezzane, Guercif, Taourirt, Ounjda Angad, Taounate, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Fez, Meknes, Taza, and Khemisset.

The same weather will be experienced in Sidi Slimane, Kidi Kacem, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga, Settat, Marrakech, Kelaa des Sraghna, Rehamna, Zagoura, Tata, Taroudant, and Assa-Zag.

Meanwhile, an orange level alert is forecasting temperatures between 42 and 44 degrees in Chefchaouen, El Hajeb, Boulemane, Khenifra, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Inzegane-Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida- Outanane, Tan-Tan, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim, Es-smara, and Aousserd on Monday and Tuesday.

Temperatures between 37 and 41 degrees will concern Al Hoceima, Driouch, Nador, Berkane, Ifrane, Azilal, and Al Haouz on the same days.

Scorching temperatures between 43 and 46 degrees will hit o from Wednesday to Friday Beni Mellal, Fquih Bensalah, Marrakech, Rehmaa, Kelaa des Sraghna, Chichaoua, Youssoufia, Zagora, Tata, Taroudant, Assa-Zag, Es-Smara, Boujour, and Oued Eddaab.

Hot weather between 41 and 44 degrees will persist from Wednesday to Friday in different regions, including Ouezzane, Guercif, Taourrt, Oukeda Angad, Taouant, Moulay Yacoub, Chefchaouen, Sefrou, Fez, Meknes, Taza, Khemisset, Khenifra, Khouribga, Settat, Essaouira, Inzegane-Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida-outanane, Tan-Tan, a Sidi Ifni, and Guilmim.
