In a message addressed to the team, the king commended their remarkable achievement, describing it as an “honorable African recognition of Moroccan basketball.”

The monarch praised the collective efforts of all those who contributed to the team’s success, including the players, coaches, and the technical, medical, and administrative staff.

In addition, he lauded the sportsmanship and spirit of competitiveness that the Moroccan squad demonstrated throughout the stages of the African championship, saying that these qualities enabled the team to secure the continental title.
