Rabat – According to the prominent football show “El Chiringuito,” Sergio Ramos and Al Ittihad are in advanced talks for a potential transfer.
If negotiations are successful, the Spanish center-back could land his biggest deal yet before retiring.
This means the former Real Madrid captain and club legend could potentially join his previous teammate Karim Benzema and Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah.
Since his free departure from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Ramos is expected to sign a contract very soon before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.
The World Cup winner was recently the center of attention for sports media as he was rejected by several teams because of his high salary demands.
For Saudi clubs, however, money was never an issue in signing a player. Indeed, recent months and weeks have been hectic in terms of transfers for the Saudi League, with a number of Saudi clubs having managed to sign world-renowned and prohibitively expensive players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Benzema, and many others.
During his two seasons with PSG in France’s Ligue 1, Sergio Ramos managed to score 6 goals in his 58 appearances in all competitions.
Known for his strength, leadership, and famous last-minute goals, the 37-year-old defender will bring added value to Al Ittihad in case the deal was to be confirmed.
