Honor was an affiliate of Huawei when created in 2013, but it became independent in 2020 to benefit from Google services on its products.
Honor Group entered the Moroccan market in September 2022 when it introduced its Honor X8, then Honor 70 and Honor X9a.
Alongside the H90 Lite smartphone, Honor produces other smart devices including laptops, tablets, and TVs, El Asmar added.
“Honor is the fastest growing tech brand in Morocco, so our purpose is to bring more good products to the end users,” Lin stated.
Lin stressed the phone’s ‘unique’ characteristics, saying that it “has 100 megapixels, two-year warranty, easy AI vlog creation, beautiful design, and a big screen.”

On the other hand, El Asmar highlighted the phone’s fair price at MAD 2,699 ($278) relative to all the specs of the phone.
When asked about the efforts made to expand the business in Morocco, Lin emphasized the marketing aspect at first, saying that the company increased its marketing budget and investment in Morocco “in order to let more people understand that Honor has quality as high as Huawei.”
The second aspect Lin mentioned is the retail factor. Honor has made itself visible to the public by sharing posters, leaflets, and having their logo appear on the walls and counters of some shops to make people feel that Honor is around them.
Thirdly, among the other efforts made to let honor become “part of Morocco,” Lin shed light on the teamwork aspect which is present in every part of their business, be it marketing, retail, or service.
Lastly, he spoke about job opportunities in Morocco. Lin confirmed that “Honor welcomes many young people to join the company, as Honor is also a young brand. We encourage more innovation and creativity, so we open doors to employment.”
