Weather Alert Forecasts New Heatwave Across Morocco Amid Fall Season

Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN) announced a new heatwave that will hit several provinces across the country from Thursday to Sunday, with temperatures up to 43 degrees Celsius.

Rabat – Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN) announced a new heatwave that will hit several provinces across the country from Thursday to Sunday, with temperatures up to 43 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures ranging between 38 and  43 degrees will hit the provinces of Es-Smara, Laayoune, Boujdour, Tarfaya, Aousserd, and Oued Ed-Dahab on Saturday and Sunday, the weather alert detailed.

It added that temperatures between 38 and 42 degrees will also hit other regions and provinces, including Larache, Ouezzane, Taounate, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Kenitra, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Settat, Chichaoua, Rehama, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Youssoufia, and Taroudant between Thursday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, the provinces of Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Meknes, Khemisset, Khouribga, Khenfra, will witness temperatures ranging between 36 and 39 degrees during the same period.

The same weather will also be experienced in  Azilal, El Hajeb, El Haouz, Sale, Skhirat, Temara, Berrechid, Benslimane, and Sidi Bennour.

The heat with temperatures between 35 and 39 degrees wll concern the provinces of Nouaceur, Mediouna, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira, Sefrou, Ifrane, Chtouka Ait Baha, as well as Inezgane.
Ait Melloul from Friday to Sunday.

Tiznit, Agadir, Ida Outanane, Tan-Tan, Sidi Ifni, and Guelmim will experience the same weather.
