Rabat – Brazilian football superstar Neymar Jr recently commented on his and Argentinian legend Lionel Messi’s time at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), expressing that he had some challenging moments.
“I was very happy for the year he had, but at the same time very sad, because he lived both sides of the coin,” explained the Brazilian in an interview with Brazilian outlet Globo. “He went to heaven with the Argentina team, won everything in recent years, and with Paris, he lived in hell, we lived through hell, both he and I.”
“Messi left (PSG) in a way that, for football, he did not deserve,” he added.. “For everything he is, everything he does, anyone who knows him knows.”
“He is a guy who trains, who fights, if he loses he gets angry, and he was unfairly charged in my opinion,” Neymar said
He also explained that the pressure and expectations at PSG sometimes became overwhelming, making him question his choices.
The Brazilian forward is now under contract with Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal where he is expected to make a debut as soon as he recovers from injury.
On the other hand, his former FC Barcelona and PSG teammate Lionel Messi is still catching eyes with Inter Miami, putting in great performances since he joined this summer.
