Morocco’s international goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou, featured this year on the list of football players nominated for the Prestigious 2023 Yachine Trophy.
The Yachine Trophy, an esteemed award presented by France Football, annually recognizes the best-performing goalkeeper of the year.
The complete list of nominees includes Ederson, Brice Samba, Yassine Bounou, Andre Onana, Mike Maignan, Emiliano Martinez, Thibault Courtois, Aaron Ramsdale, Dominik Livakovic, and Marc Andre Ter Stegen.
The Moroccan International’s performances for his club, Sevilla, have evidently impressed the experts responsible for the nominations.
The “Atlas Lion” has been a key football player for the Spanish club Sevilla, before recently transferring to Saudi club Al Hilal.
The goalkeeper, one of the finest football players in Moroccan history, earned himself several nicknames during the World Cup, including “The Smiling Hero.”
