Rabat – Morocco has announced an investigation into the four explosions that hit three sites in Es-Semara in southern Morocco.
The General Prosecutor at the Court of Appeals in Laayoune said that an investigation has been opened after the death of one person and the injury of three others due to the launch of explosives that targeted residential neighborhoods in Es-Semara.
The prosecutor also assigned an expert team to carry out necessary technical and ballistic investigations to identify the source and nature of the explosive projectiles that caused the death of a victim and injured three others.
Two victims are in critical condition after serious injuries while the other victim returned home after receiving the necessary medical treatment.
The prosecutor’s office concluded its statement by emphasizing that the authorities will ensure the necessary measures to address the case in light of the investigation’s outcomes.
The four explosions affected two residential neighborhoods as well as the city’s industrial district.
