Rabat – The Superior Institute for Science and Technology (SIST), which has been delivering British education in Morocco for the past 20 years, celebrated on Saturday a joint achievement with Cardiff Metropolitan University during the official graduation ceremony on Saturday in Rabat.
The event marked the presence of personnel from the Cardiff Metropolitan University and SIST, in addition to UK ambassador to Morocco Simon Martin.
The event marked the graduation of students from the school’s BA in Business and Management , and MBA programs.

Taking place at the heart of the Zenith Center, the ceremony served not only as a platform to officialize the graduation of the institute’s alumni but also as an opportunity for both partners to renew their determination to continue to boost cooperation in the service of their current and future students.
Professor David Brooksbank, the Senior Dean of the Cardiff School of Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University, shared satisfaction with the graduation ceremony, stressing that he is delighted to be present in the event.

“This is our longest and most successful partnership with SIST,” Brooksbank told Morocco World News, stressing that the two partners have been working with them as an association college of the Cardiff Met.
“I’m delighted to be here again… The achievement of these students from a whole range of backgrounds is absolutely fantastic,” he said.
The main point of being in the event is to celebrate the success and achievement of the students, he added.
SIST has been present in Morocco for nearly two decades, providing students with the opportunity to secure approved bachelor degrees as well as masters and MBA degrees from Wales’ Cardiff Metropolitan University.

The institution also offers students the choice between studying in one of their different campuses located in Rabat, Casablanca, and Tangier.
Those who study under the program also have the option of transferring at any time of the year to Cardiff, as part of the institution’s partnership with the Welsh university.
In addition to the importance of its partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University, SIST also contributes to Morocco’s journey seeking to improve English immersion in Morocco.
Several reports have stressed the growing importance of English in the country, in particular due to Moroccans’ interest in learning the language.
Prime evidence can be found in one of the latest reports from the British Council which showed that 65% of young Moroccans view English as a very important language to adapt to the socio-professional landscape of today and the future.

The report was based on a survey, taking into account over 1,200 young urban respondents from Morocco.
In addition to Cardiff Met, Juanita Folmsbee, a board of directors member in Education for All Morocco also attended the ceremony – which served as an opportunity to recall the importance of the partnership with SIST.

Folmsbee told Morocco World News that the association started its partnership with SIST four years ago, when the institute approached the association to contribute to their efforts in helping girls continue their education through full scholarships.
“Today, we have our first three scholarship recipients who will be graduating. They’ll be graduating with honors, and we’re very proud of them because our girls, our organization, works in the High Atlas Mountains with girls who are poor and have very many challenges trying to complete their education,” she added.
