Rabat – Hamas has released a video of three Israeli captives urging Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a prisoner swap deal with the Palestinian militant group.

The video shows one of three women held captive by Hamas strongly lashing out at Netanyahu and accusing him of being an agent of chaos.

“We know that there is supposed to be a ceasefire. You were supposed to free us all… And instead, we are driving in your political, security, military, political chaos,” she said.

The hostage also blamed Netanyahu for what happened on October 7, criticizing the Israeli army’s lack of response.

“No one came. No one listened to us,” she said, reminding Netanyahu of her and other hostages being Israeli citizens who pay taxes.

Accusing Netanyahu of wanting to kill Israelis held captive by Hamas, the woman called on Netanyahu to “free them now.” She added angrily, in reference to Palestinians in Israeli prisons: “Free their citizens, free their prisoners.”

Israel responded to the video by describing it as a “cruel psychological propaganda by Hamas-ISIS.”

The Israeli Prime Minister’s office said that Israel is “embracing the families” of hostages, adding: “We will do everything to return all the kidnapped and missing people home.”

On Saturday last week, PM Netanyahu met with representatives of families whose relatives are being held captive by Hamas.

During the meeting, the presentative urged Netanyahu to agree to an “everyone for everyone” prisoner exchange with Hamas, which has pledged to enter into a direct agreement to seek an immediate prisoner swap with Israel.

Yahya al-Sinwar, the head of Hamas in Gaza, reiterated the pledges on Saturday, stressing that the Palestinian resistance group is “ready to conduct an immediate prisoner exchange deal” with Israel.

Qatar and Egypt mediation resulted in the release of two Israeli hostages last week, bringing the number of released captives by Hamas to 4 since the start of the crisis on October 7.

Hamas says it has held over 200 hostages since October 7, while Israel has detained and tortured over 6,000 Palestinians. The detention of Palestinians continues as the war on Gaza intensifies.

In addition, the Israeli army has killed over 8,306 Palestinians, including more than 3,400 children, since it launched its genocidal Gaza campaign on October 7.

As controversy surrounds Netanyahu heavily militarized approach to Hamas, Haaretz, Israel’s leading leftist news outlet, published today an editorial calling on the PM’s coalition to remove him “immediately.”
