Rabat – Ahead of the winter transfer window, the French football club Olympique de Marseille (OM) has set its asking price for Moroccan midfielder Amine Harit at 15 million euros, the website Le 10 sport reported over the weekend.
According to converging reports, the club’s goal with this transfer is to achieve financial liquidity for the next phase of the 2023-24 sports season.
The OM board of directors, headed by the American businessman Frank McCourt, aims to achieve balance in the team’s finances following large investments, reports have indicated.
One report noted the club is “in a continuous search for financial liquidity to replenish the team’s treasury,” adding that many clubs are interested in signing Amine Harit, including Spain’s Real Betis, Italy’s Roma, German clubs, and others from Saudi Arabia.
Amine Harit, who joined OM on loan in September 2021, had spent two consecutive seasons with FC Schalke 04.

With a contract running until June 2027, the Moroccan attacking midfielder has featured in 66 games for OM, scoring 7 goals and providing 12 assists.
Seriously injured last season, the player has worked his way back to full fitness this term. For the 2023-24 season, Harit has played 16 games, scoring 1 goal and providing 5 assists.
Harit’s exploits for the French team have attracted attention, with the club naming him their best player for the month of September.
OM Coach Gennaro Gattuso recently praised Harit’s performances for the club, calling the player a “quiet leader” who not only understands the game, but also enjoys it.
