Rabat – Following relentless ridicule online by social media users, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have deleted a video in which they presented “proof” of Hamas’ presence inside the Al Shifa Hospital.
The video, which featured an IDF spokesperson showcasing a meticulously organized “full military kit” used by Hamas behind an MRI machine, has been the subject of mockery online.
“No cuts, no edits, just the undeniable truth,” the IDF’s initial post read, before being replaced by a reupload with numerous edits and blurs.
The edited version notably blurs a laptop screen, which previously featured the photo of an IDF soldier as the background image.
“It seems that Israel realized convincing people that Hamas used an unsecured computer and that an Israeli female soldier’s photo was the desktop image would be challenging,” one commenter wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Consequently, they deleted the video and reuploaded it, removing those parts.”
The IDF said the video footage “totally confirms, without any doubt, that Hamas systematically uses hospitals in their military operations,” but online users were quick.
“Imagine you’re a Hamas fighter operating in a huge military base under the hospital, but you decide to hide your weapon behind an MRI machine,” one online commenter said sarcastically.
Another noted: “Gotta admire how tidy some of these terrorists are.”
