Rabat – The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco have joined forces to promote the country’s cultural heritage, with a focus on its southern provinces.

The two institutions signed a partnership to fulfill this commitment, seeking to promote cultural creativity and preservation of Morocco’s heritage, a statement from UM6P said.

Under the partnership, UM6P and the Moroccan academy will set up structuring projects as well as organizing events and cultural seminars to promote the country’s heritage.

“Both institutions aim to foster the cultural development of students and local communities, while

consolidating links between the university and the region, and forging ties with other countries on the African continent,” UM6P said.

UM6P President Hicham El Habti emphasized the importance of the partnership, describing it as a “fruitful collaboration” to promote culture.

“This collaboration marked by creativity and knowledge, strengthens our ties to stimulate human, economic and social development. Together, we are committed to making this collaboration a source of inspiration for the development of our students, our fellow citizens and our cultural heritage,” he said.

The university further emphasized its commitment to contributing to promoting the country’s culture, pledging to use technology and heritage to explore “new and innovative ways in protecting and disseminating” the country’s assets.

“This pioneering approach promises to enrich education, strengthen cultural roots and shape a future where technology and heritage come together in harmony,” UM6P said.
