Rabat – Rabat Business School (RBS), part of the International University of Rabat, announced on Tuesday that it is actively seeking to boost international integration of its education offer.
By seeking collaborations with international partners, Rabat Business School is considering launching Africa’s first triple degree program whereby students will earn three degrees from the three international institutions upon completion of their bachelor’s program.
The launching of such a program is part of the school’s ambition to boost global integration and maintain its leading position as Africa’s best business school.

In 2022, RBS became the first business school to appear on the Financial Times ranking of the best business schools globally. One year later, the school rose from 86th to 54th place, marking the most significant advancement for any school on the list, RBS’ Dean Olivier Aptel said on the sidelines of announcing the launch of the program.
“One of the criteria for the Financial Times ranking is the proportion of our alumni working abroad after graduation,” Aptel said. “And we have a large proportion of our students working abroad.”
He further explained that “around 30% of the student body used to work abroad after graduation and the rest in the different companies in Morocco.”
Leading the way
To boost its position as a leading business school on the global stage, RBS has worked, since its debut in 2010, to consolidate its reputation as a hub for international students and researchers in the business field.
“Since 2022, Rabat Business School is the first business school in Africa, in terms of publications, in peer-reviewed journals, in the management science area, and in terms of number of citations,” Aptel told Morocco World News (MWN) on the sidelines of a press conference on Tuesday.
Aptel explained that boosting RBS’ reputation as a research hub for management science is a catalyst for attracting international faculty.

The school currently boasts an enrollment of 2,500 students, including over 350 international students, claiming the top spot in Moroccan business schools for student numbers.
During the press conference, Aptel revealed that the faculty makeup at RBS is “incredibly” diverse, comprising 60 professors, 66% of whom hail from international backgrounds, representing a total of 22 nationalities.
The school is also actively working to move away from the francophone world.
“Our programs, teaching programs, our courses are taught in the English language, and by this specificity, in Morocco, we can attract more and more international students,” he noted.
The diverse faculty enables RBS to deliver its curriculum exclusively in English, a distinctive feature within the African educational landscape, he added.
In addition, a staggering 96% of the school’s permanent professors hold doctoral degrees and actively contribute to research in management sciences.
RBS stands as the leading institution in Africa in this domain, having published 106 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and amassed 1,886 citations by November 2023.
Driven by its ambition to become the global benchmark for business schools in Africa, RBS secured AACSB accreditation in 2020 and is now in the running for EQUIS accreditation.
To boost its global integration, the school established 174 international partnerships spanning 46 countries, becoming a member of the esteemed international QTEM network that brings together outstanding students, academic partners, and international corporations.
The Moroccan business school equally looks to lock the Shanghai ranking which is based on an algorithm that tracks research quality.
