Royal Air Maroc, Visa Launch Innovative Co-Branded Bank Cards in Morocco

Rabat – Royal Air Maroc, Morocco’s national carrier, and Visa, a global leader in digital payments, have joined forces to launch the first co-branded bank cards in the country, offering a unique loyalty program and enhanced travel experience for customers.

Announced on Wednesday, this innovative partnership marks a significant development in both the banking and aviation sectors in Morocco.

The collaboration, which also involves leading banks Attijariwafa Bank and Bank of Africa, aims to revolutionize the travel experience for Moroccans by providing them with convenient digital payment solutions and exclusive benefits.

Cardholders and members of Royal Air Maroc’s Safar Flyer loyalty program will enjoy a range of advantages, including personalized offers on both domestic and international transactions.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Royal Air Maroc CEO Hamid Addou highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership.

“This initiative aligns perfectly with our policy of continuous innovation and improvement,” he stated. “We are pleased to offer our customers a new and advantageous loyalty program, further enhancing their travel experience.”

Leila Serhan, Visa’s Group Country Manager for North Africa, the Levant, and Pakistan, emphasized the partnership’s commitment to providing convenient and beneficial digital payment solutions, particularly for travelers in Morocco and Africa.

“This program leverages the combined strengths of Visa’s global network, Royal Air Maroc’s market position, and the leadership of our partner banks,” she said.

Customers can subscribe to the co-branded Royal Air Maroc bank card at partner bank agencies of Attijariwafa Bank and Bank of Africa, each offering customized cards and benefits. Joining Royal Air Maroc’s Safar Flyer program is a prerequisite for enrollment.

This pioneering initiative paves the way for further collaboration, as both Royal Air Maroc and Visa have hinted at developing additional solutions under this strategic partnership.

With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, this collaboration promises to transform the Moroccan travel landscape and offer a seamless and rewarding experience for air travelers.
