Fez – Belgian airline TUI Fly will launch two new flights connecting between the Belgian city Antwerp and Oujda, in Morocco’s Oriental region.
These airline will operate the new flights on Wednesdays and Sundays, from June 26 to September 22.
The flights will operate the Embraer E195-E2, a modern and more durable aircraft, which was put into service at Antwerp airport last summer.
The new flights comes as part of the company’s commitment to respond to high demand from the Moroccan community in the Antwerp.
It will provide the Moroccan community in Belgium with a convenient travel option to visit their homeland, and similarly, enable Belgians to discover the rich history and culture of Oujda.
This new airline route therefore brings the number of destinations operated by TUI Fly from Antwerp to 15, with already existing flights to several cities in Spain, including Alicante, Malaga, Murcia, Majorca, Ibiza, Gran Canari, Tenerife and Morocco’s Tangier, Nador, Oujda
Moroccans represented the majority of Belgium’s foreign workforce in 2022, with a rate of 9% of non-Belgian workers in the country.
The Moroccan diaspora residing in Belgium is estimated at more than 80,000, representing the country’s largest non-European community.
