Rabat – Following a post-round of 16 break, AFCON is today entering a new phase, featuring DR Congo and Guinea – with both teams determined to clinch a spot in the semi-finals.
DR Congo and Guinea will play their match at 9 p.m. Moroccan time at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe.
The game will be streamed on different online streaming and TV platforms, including Azam app, DStv Stream, BBC iPlayer, BeIN Sports, as well as StarTimes, Super SportTV, and SABC Sport.
For predicting website Opta Analysis, DR Congo could win today’s game and secure a spot in the semi-finals with a rate of 39.9%.
“The Opta supercomputer gives DR Congo the edge, with them winning 39.9% of its 10,000 pre-match simulations inside 90 minutes compared to Guinea’s 33.4% win rate,” the website added.
The website acknowledged that neither of the teams were expected to be “serious contenders” at the ongoing competition.
“But one of these teams will be in the final four after this weekend,” the website added.
